Admissions Philosophy
Gilman School is a community of boys enrolled in its Lower (grades pre-first through five), Middle (grades six to eight), and Upper (grades nine-twelve) Schools. Gilman strives to attract students from diverse ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds from throughout the greater Baltimore area who have the curiosity, ability, and motivation to meet a demanding college preparatory program. Gilman seeks students who have a broad range of interests and talents and recognize the importance of contributing to the well being of the school community.
