Annual contributions are a major source of operating funds for the School and a critical portion of our budget, especially during a campaign. The Gilman Fund will continue to narrow the ever-widening gap between tuition and the actual cost to educate our boys. Needs must be met as we build endowments to reduce burdens on the School’s operating budgets, and as these funds spin off income, Gilman Fund monies will be available for new academic initiatives and programs. A Gilman education will become even richer.

Goal

$5 million for annual giving.

I see my sons developing a strong sense of self. And I know that’s because they are in an environment that thinks about the entire boy and, even beyond that, caters to the needs of boys. I think they take pride in being at a school where excellence really means something. But they are also learning what it means to be a good person, to do the right thing, to think about how they are supposed to be in the world. They are learning what it takes to be a leader.
