I was fortunate enough to go to three terrific schools—Gilman, the University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard Business School—and of those three I credit Gilman with having the biggest impact on me. It has had the most to do with my personal and professional success. I feel an obligation to give back to a place that has made such a difference for me. I want to impact the lives of future generations of students.

Jon Jacobson ’79, founder of Highfields Capital Management in Boston, serves as national chairman for The Campaign for Gilman School.
