A well-rounded education gives boys the opportunity to explore interests and strengthen social interactions. Whether just hanging out in the Common Room or on a Carey Hall terrace, joining a club, or attending a tri-school social event, boys make friends for life.

Halloween
A spirited day for all – a Lower School parade, Middle School costume contest, and Upper School "Mr. Gilman Halloween" competition. Spotted are the usual suspects like Baltimore Ravens players, ghosts and goblins, along with all sorts of original, funny, and thoughtful costume ideas.
Service Saturdays
Service Saturday engages the entire community in service-oriented activities, from making sandwiches for the homeless to stream clean-up, to harvesting produce.
Middle School Socials
Regular social activities with neighboring middle schools broaden the boys' network of friends.

Greyhound TV
Whether covering a sporting event or graduation, the members of Greyhound TV spend hours and hours creating live stream broadcasts and recording special events.
Gilman Startup Experience
An intensive Upper School workshop designed to jumpstart the entrepreneurial spirit, the Startup Experience pairs Gilman students with alumni mentors to identify real world problems, create solutions and business models, then pitch their start-up ideas to a panel of judges.
