Private lessons for all students.
Gilman's After School Music Program currently provides private individual instrumental instruction for 140 students. The most popular instruments currently are piano and guitar, but students also are studying the violin, drums, and wind and brass instruments.
Faculty members teaching in the ASMP are all professional musicians and are graduates of major conservatoires such as the Peabody Conservatory, Juilliard School, and the Manhattan School of Music.

SCHEDULING
Lower School: after school
Middle School: after school
Upper School: during study halls, free periods, and after school
Lesson times are determined based upon the student's schedule.
After school music lessons are offered on campus on regular school days. All lessons are 30 minutes long.
TUITION FEES
Gilman students will be billed $525 at the beginning of each of the two school semesters via the student's Gilman School Account. Non-Gilman students will be billed separately.School holidays and activities are considered in determining the annual fee. Books and all other materials will be billed separately. If more than two lessons are missed due to snow days, the student will receive a credit or the lesson will be made up.
Please note: no credits are given due to student absence, as our private teachers must be paid for their on-campus time.
If you choose to withdraw your child from the program, we regret that no credit can be given for any remaining lessons.
Registration
If you wish to enroll your child in private music instruction, please register here. We encourage registration by June 6, 2017. The latest registration date is September 1, 2017.
Although every effort will be made to place your child in the After School Music Program, please keep in mind that due to potential scheduling problems, placement cannot be guaranteed.
Lessons will begin the week of September 18 and will continue through mid-May. Your child's ASMP teacher will contact you with the day, time, and location of your child's lesson.
