Sibling Study Hall is available only to Lower School boys who carpool with a Gilman, Bryn Mawr, or Roland Park Country School Middle School student or for boys in grades 2-5 who take the 4 p.m. Kangaroo Coach. Gilman provides the Sibling Study Hall at no charge.

Sibling Study Hall is not intended to be a play time or a substitute for the After School Program (ASP). Boys too young to have homework or other students who need time time after school for more active recreation should enroll in ASP.

Lower School boys waiting for Middle School carpools MUST attend either Sibling Study Hall or ASP. Boys may not roam the campus unsupervised.

Dismissal

Middle School students(s) who carpool with Lower School boys should walk to the Lower School and wait for their carpool driver. If your son needs to leave Sibling Study Hall earlier than 4:00 p.m., he must be signed out by you or your designate. That designate must be another adult or a responsible high school age sibling, not a Lower or Middle School student. Unless signed out early, your son will not be permitted to leave Sibling Study Hall until 4:00 p.m. If he is not picked up by 4:10 p.m., he will be sent to ASP and you will be charged the usual ASP drop-in fee. Sibling Study Hall boys who ride the 4:00 p.m. Kangaroo Coach will be escorted from Sibling Study Hall by the bus driver.

Sibling Study Hall will not operate on the days when Gilman dismisses at 12:00 p.m. for Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks, on the pre-appointed 2:00 p.m. dismissal Fridays, or in the event of early school closing due to inclement weather.
