Alumni turned out for a flag football game before the big game. Families enjoyed the father-son tent, food trucks and a photo booth. Kids got painted and swarmed the moon bounce and obstacle course. Fans were in fine spirits for the first Gilman-McDonogh game on the renovated turf. Although McDonogh reclaimed temporary possession of the trophy with a 42-6 win, which certaily was not the result we wanted, Gilman fans look forward to the next installation of the second-longest interscholastic football rivalry in the state.
