Young filmmakers, grades ranging from kindergarten through 12, are encouraged to submit original works to the seventh annual Daniel A. Citron Film Festival, to be held on Friday, March 31, 2017, at the Alumni Auditorium. Submissions are due March 21, 2017.
K-12 students from independent and public schools throughout Maryland are eligible to submit films of 15 minutes or less in several categories: short drama, short comedy, short documentary, short animation, foreign film, music video, and elementary and middle school.
An overall winner, as well as winners in each category, will be chosen by a committee of Gilman students and faculty.
Submissions can be sent via physical media or uploaded digitally through YouTube or Vimeo. More information, including regulations, is available at the film festival website: gilmanfilm.com
The number of films screened at the festival will depend on the number of submissions.
