What started as a bar mitzvah service project when Gilman senior Jordan Yaffe '17 was in eighth grade in 2012 has turned into a multi-city event and fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association. The 2017 Baltimore Dunks for Diabetes 3v3 Tournament will be held on Saturday, March 4 at Gilman at 2 p.m. Juniors Ian Chalk and Charlie Shapiro are spearheading this year's effort. They are asking the Gilman community to support this benefit for diabetes research in several ways:
Play: Middle School and Upper School teams are now forming. Register a team.
Donate: In 2016 nearly 200 players participated and $15,310 was raised. This year, the Baltimore Dunks for Diabetes goal is $20,000. Donate now.
Volunteer: Several high-level sponsorships are available.
Visit the Dunks for Diabetes website for more information about how to become an event sponsor or donate a raffle item.
