Coaches

Gilman holds dear the concept of teacher/coach, and there are many experiences where boys are learning algebraic equations or Shakespeare in the morning and zone traps and zone blitzes or how to throw and catch balls in the afternoon from the same person. Nearly all of our coaches at all levels of competition—from Middle School to varsity—are full-time teachers in one of the school’s three divisions. Occasionally, part-time, non-faculty coaches, who are often Gilman alumni or parents, enhance our coaching rosters.
