Gilman senior Jelani Roberts was named Student Athlete of the Year for the North region in the 52nd Annual Scholar Athlete Awards Dinner presented by the Greater Baltimore Chapter National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. The varsity football team captain hopes to study some form of engineering when he attends Northwestern University in the fall. What started as a bar mitzvah service project when Gilman sophomore Jordan Yaffe was in eighth grade has turned into a multi-city event and fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association, even attracting some big names from the Baltimore area.Read More
Ryan Boyle '00 Joins Greater Baltimore Chapter of US Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

The Greater Baltimore Chapter of US Lacrosse inducted Ryan Boyle '00 into its Hall of Fame on Saturday, Jan. 17. At Gilman, Ryan was a three-sport athlete and a four-year starter in lacrosse, helping lead the Greyhounds to the 1998 and 2000 MIAA championships. He attended Princeton, where he was a freshman starter on the 2001 NCAA championship team and earned All-American honors all four years. After college, Ryan played on the United States World Team three times while also becoming one of the all-time leading scorers in Major League Lacrosse history. He is currently the chief executive officer of Trilogy Lacrosse.Read More
