Lower School Pre-1st–5th

Channeling Curiousity

The Lower School curriculum consists of language arts (including reading, phonics, writing, spelling, grammar, and vocabulary), math, science, and social studies. Resource subjects include French, Spanish, computer, design and woodworking, library, music, studio art, swimming instruction, and physical education/athletics. Enrichment activities and programs include class plays, character development, book club, community outreach efforts and much more.

  • Jeff Snow to Bike 100 Miles for Cancer

    Middle School Dean of Students Jeff Snow will bicycle 100 miles in the Philadelphia Lance Armstrong Challenge Ride for Cancer on August 24. On Wednesday, May 28, Middle School students collected more than $1,000 in donations in support of Jeff’s ride and the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s ongoing fight at against cancer. Read More

    Kindergarten construction is underway. The playground equipment has been removed (again) and the ground cleared in the courtyard behind the Stevens Room. The paved surfaces outside various rooms on the north side of the Lower School were recently demolished-with some noise and fumes! Read More
