Q&A

What is your favorite spot on Gilman's campus?
I walk to and from Gilman with my sons every day, and my favorite part of that journey is the ramp that leads to the lower parking lot near the visitor's baseball bullpen. The beautifully colorful skies of the sunrises and sunsets welcome us and send us home.

Why do you enjoy teaching at Gilman?
I enjoy the comfortable vulnerability that's fostered in our all-boys environment. I appreciate the opportunities to know, love, and challenge my students, players, and advisees to be their best selves.

What inspired you to become a teacher?
Both of my parents were educators, and I grew up on independent school campuses. In addition, the teachers and coaches who were patient with me, who really knew me, inspired me to become a teacher.
