Q&A
What is your favorite spot on Gilman's campus?
The math faculty offices on the third floor. It's a place where I can talk to and collaborate with my colleagues. Students also come to the third floor for extra help, so it's the place where I get to know more about my students as scholars and as people.
Why do you enjoy teaching at Gilman?
I really enjoy my job. I have fun every day I am teaching in Carey Hall or coaching in the arena, and the boys are the reason why. They are genuine and funny and earnest, and they remind me to stay in the moment and enjoy the people around me.
People might not know…
I am the fourth person in my family to work at Gilman. In the 2000s, my husband, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law all worked at Gilman. When we moved back to Maryland in 2019, I knew that Gilman was a community I wanted to be a part of.
