Biography:
After teaching for a number of years at The Albany Academy for Girls and The Albany Academies as a librarian, Latin teacher, and a reading and library skills instructor, Eileen Kim joined the Social Studies department in Gilman's Middle School to teach sixth grade geography. Her doctorate degree in medieval studies from the University of Toronto was preceded by a Master of Arts in medieval studies from the same university and a Master of Arts from the University of York in late medieval studies. Her Bachelor of Arts in comparative literature was conferred by Smith College. In addition to teaching, Dr. Kim also coaches soccer and coaches in the sixth grade athletic program.
