Q&A
What was your best teaching moment?
Reading aloud MacBeth, my favorite play. Generally, seeing the moment when difficult content clicks with a student.
Why do you enjoy teaching at Gilman?
The faculty community is very pleasant. Teaching boys reminds me of why I loved being a student at Gilman (class of '17): the camaraderie and easygoingness of the community as well as the grave responsibility for being an educator of men.
What inspired you to become a teacher?
Excellent teachers: at Gilman, Mr. Gouline, Mr. Heubeck, Dr. Thornbery, and Mr. Christian.
