Alli Jordan
M.A. in STEM Education, University of Maryland Baltimore County
With a bachelor of science in elementary education from the University of Tampa and a master of education with a STEM focus from the University of Maryland, Alli Jordan joined Gilman's third grade team. She worked most recently at Hiseville Elementary School in Kentucky as the math interventionist, and third and fourth grade educator. Before then, she worked at Linthicum Elementary School as a third and fifth grade educator and Lanier Elementary School in Tampa, Florida, as a fifth grade teacher. In addition to her master’s degree, Ms. Jordan holds a Kentucky professional educators certification in elementary education in primary–grade 5 and ESL certification in grades k-12. She also holds a Maryland advanced educators certificate in elementary education for grades 1-6 and ESOL for grades k-12.

What was your best teaching moment?
My best teaching moment is whenever I see the "lightbulb" go off for my students. Whether the challenge is big or small, the success makes it worth it.
What is your favorite spot on Gilman's campus?
My favorite spot is the Centennial Hall, I love the history!
Why do you enjoy teaching at Gilman?
I love the camaraderie between the faculty and the boys. The boys cheer for each other and support each other's learning inside and outside of the classroom. Their energy and excitement is contagious!
