William attended Anne Arundel Community College for several years after graduating from Arundel High School. Transferring from there, he earned a bachelor of arts in government and politics at The University of Maryland in College Park. He joined Gilman from The Severn School in Severna Park, Maryland, where he was a sixth grade English and geography teacher. William was also the head coach for Severn’s junior varsity football team.
