Ghani Raines
Ghani Raines started his teaching career as an Upper School history teacher at St. Paul’s School for Boys. While spending the majority of his teaching career at Friends School of Baltimore as an Upper School history teacher, he also was involved in schoolwide initiatives focused on inclusion and equity and health and wellness work. Most recently, he was the social studies department chair at Mercy High School, which was preceded by his role as director of equity & inclusion at The Institute for Notre Dame. Mr. Raines has been very involved in Bridges in the past as a language arts teacher in our program and as the director of the Lower School program at St. Paul’s School for Boys. Additionally, he was co-director of Middle Grades Partnership at Friends School. He received his bachelor of arts in history from The College of William and Mary.
