Biography:

Jamarya graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Science in human development and a minor in Spanish. She has extensive educational experiences as a Youth and Community Service Intern at JAMMAT Housing and Community Development Corporation in Providence, Rhode Island, Playground Manager, and SFSP Administrator in the City of Newport, Rhode Island, and substitute teacher in Prince George's County Public Schools in Forrestville, Maryland. Jamarya also has worked internationally as Program Manager and International Fellow at Leadership, Effectiveness, Accountability, and Professionalism (LEAP) in Africa Lagos, Nigeria, a nonprofit organization with a mission to produce the next generation of African leaders. In her free time, she fosters kittens with PAW rescue and enjoys baking.
