Q&A

What inspired you to become a teacher?
The teachers and coaches I had at Gilman and at UNC inspired me to become a teacher because I learned how impactful it was to help others become their best selves.

Why do you enjoy teaching at Gilman?
Being able to return to Gilman and work with students committed to learning and growing helped me find what I love to do, and I feel fortunate that I have been able to apply my passions in a career that not only appreciates that but also pays me for it!

What is your favorite spot on Gilman's campus?
Chandlee Field due to the amount of energy, emotion, and time expended there first as a soccer and lacrosse player and then as a coach. The highs and lows of athletic competition are integral to the Gilman experience, and I have enjoyed sharing moments with other Greyhounds on that field.
