Community Use of Outdoor Facilities Policy

Use of the Gilman campus by non-Gilman personnel, including all facilities, athletic fields, and outdoor spaces, is strictly prohibited, except for movement between the school campuses, during the school day from 7 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Use of any outdoor athletic facility or open space outside of the school day or on the weekends for any coaching, training, field rentals, or group activities must be coordinated through the Athletics Office, athletics@gilman.edu or 410-323-3800, ext. 701, to ensure availability and proper insurance coverage.

The tennis courts are secured and require coordination for access. To arrange usage, contact Security at 410-323-7030. Please note that on school days, the courts are reserved exclusively for Gilman students, faculty, and staff use.

These measures are designed to enhance the safety and security of our students.

Gilman Rental Spaces, Rates, and Resources/Services

Curious about renting indoor or outdoor space on the Gilman campus? We have facilities that can be used for parties/receptions, conferences or corporate retreats, large or small meetings, theater productions, film showings, and more!

To inquire about renting a non-athletic Gilman facility, the first step is to complete the Rental Inquiry Form. Having a rough estimate of your needs will help us determine if we can accommodate your event successfully. Upon receiving the form submission, Director of Auxiliary Programs Caitlin Gill will be in touch via email, from cgill@gilman.edu or phone, from 410-323-3800, ext. 507.

Please note that athletics facility rentals (e.g., all fields, track, tennis courts, Finney Athletic Center, pool, and the Old Gym) are handled separately by the Athletics Department and are currently not listed below (though may be added in the future). Buildings and Grounds Leadership and Team

Preventative work, maintenance, set ups and take downs — our Buildings and Grounds team does it all (and more)! Please email maintenance@gilman.edu and a member of our team will be ready and able to help address a wide range of issues (i.e., wasp/hornet removal, plumbing/electricity malfunctions, potholes/sinkholes, major spills or broken glass).
