Washington, D.C. Alumni Reception 2025

Gilman alumni representing graduation years spanning from 1961 to 2020 enjoyed an evening of fun and reconnection at the University Club of Washington, DC, during the annual regional reception. Attendees were treated to hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, a comprehensive campus update from Head of School Henry Smyth, and the opportunity to reminisce with fellow alumni, as well as beloved teachers Joe Duncan and Karl Connolly, who made the trek down from Roland Avenue.

2025 Football Alumni BBQ

Twenty proud Gilman alumni spent an evening with the current varsity team for the annual Football Alumni BBQ. It was a night of camaraderie and fellowship that included an opportunity to watch the Hounds prepare for their home opener against St. Mary's and to connect with football brethren from across the generations over a delicious post-practice BBQ dinner. The coaching staff shared highlights from the current season, and two alumni guest speakers reflected on their own Gilman football experiences.

2025 Young Alumni Summer Networking Breakfasts

Nearly four dozen Greyhounds from the Classes of 2020-2025 interacted with seasoned Gilman alumni professionals working in fields of their interest during two summer networking breakfasts that took place in New York City and Baltimore in mid-July. Seven panelists representing investment banking, private equity, venture capital, law, and more, offered insights and mentorship on the topics of work ethic, hard and soft skills, undergraduate and graduate education, and career development. Thank you to our experts and guests for engaging in these informative and productive events!

Recap: Wall Street 101

Seventeen Upper School students visited with professionals working in Baltimore, many of them Gilman alumni, during a reimagined Wall Street 101 experience — an annual daylong immersion into careers in finance — in early April. David Dardis P’27 and his colleague welcomed the boys to Constellation Energy for the morning, speaking to the group before walking them through the trading floor. Later in the day, alumni Garrett Paglia ’11, Geoff Carey ’80, Mike Poggi ’99, and Christian Hall ’09, all of Brown Advisory, participated in a robust panel discussion with the students before opening up the floor to questions.
