Loyola University sophomore Max Verheyen '19 has been named to the Individual Scholar All-America Second Team by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America. To qualify, students must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and also achieve an NCAA 'B' cut standard in the pool. Max reached the 'B' standard in the 100-yard breaststroke (53.77), 200 individual medley (1:45.40), and 400 IM (3:50.33). He was also just 0.25 seconds off the mark in the 200 breast (1:58.68). Last year, as a freshman, he earned Male Swimmer of the Meet at the Patriot League Championships and first-team all-conference accolades. A psychology major, Max has an overall GPA of 3.806.
