Ripken Retires from Baseball

After seven seasons in the minor leagues, Ryan Ripken '12 announced his retirement from professional baseball. Playing primarily first base and right field, Ryan progressed as high as Triple-A Norfolk in 2021. In stints with the Washington and Baltimore farm systems, Ryan finishes his minor league career with a .234 batting average, 20 home runs, and 160 RBIs in 428 games He was originally selected by the Washington Nationals in the 15th round in 2014.
