In December, Jake Groenke '13 opened a wine shop at the Mt. Washington Mill called Mt. Washington Wine & Spirits. The store's concept — "farms over factories'' — centers on smaller producers, family wineries and vineyards, and local breweries and distilleries. He's worked hard to curate a diverse collection, which he knows inside-out and backwards: "I've personally tasted everything on the shelves…definitely not on the same day!" In a little over a month in business, Jake has already enjoyed meeting some fellow alumni and even seeing a couple of his former teachers.
