Verheyen Named to Academic All-Patriot League for Swimming
Five members of the Loyola University Maryland men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs, including Max Verheyen ’19, were named to the Academic All-Patriot League teams, recognizing their achievements in the pool and the classroom.
Verheyen led the Loyola Greyhounds in scoring at the Championships, totaling 47 with three individual finishes in the top-four. He came in second in the 100-yard breaststroke and was fourth in both the 200- and 400-yard individual medleys. The two-time All-Patriot League First Team honoree was also as on three school-record-setting relay teams at the Patriot League meet. Verheyen won the program’s first ECAC Championship title since 2017 when he captured the 100-yard breaststroke event.
