2021

Leigh and I continue to live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I am still working full time for the Wake Forest School of Medicine as chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the president of the Musculoskeletal Institute. I still enjoy what I do, and in October, I will have been at Wake Forest for 40 years. My job is much more of an administrator than a surgeon, but I still see patients and operate.

Leigh and I will celebrate our 50th anniversary this August. We have two grown children and two grandchildren. COVID has been horrible and a disaster for the world; however, a silver lining for us has been spending almost four months with our grandchildren in the West Virginia mountains, while they did school remotely! I still think fondly of Gilman and how well it prepared me for the world. Best to all.
