2023

It was just about nine years ago that Anna and I moved to Cambridge, Maryland, to run the Overflow Cafe, a ministry and non-traditional church serving people in recovery and on the margins of the community. Pentecost, May 28, is the second anniversary of my ordination. In addition to running the cafe ministries, I have become the interim pastor for a small non-denominational church plant. I’m not sure what retirement is supposed to be, but I keep finding more things to do.

This past year saw the birth of two granddaughters, one in Pittsburgh and the other in Tucson. All totaled there are now six granddaughters between the ages of 9 months and 19 years. Late in 2021, Anna and I bought our retirement home here on the shores of the Choptank. It is paradise on Earth. The crabs are just starting now, and should be really good in a couple of weeks. If you’re on the Eastern Shore, stop by sometime.
