Jon Hamman checks in from southwest Virginia, where he’s in his 16th year as pastor of the Rural Retreat Lutheran Parish. His wife, Chelsea, is a family medicine physician in the nearby town of Marion. This summer will mark their 22nd wedding anniversary. They have five beautiful children: Faith, Annabelle, Jonah, Micah, and Luke.
