I am still working as the managing director of the law firm of Thomas & Libowitz, P.A. and actively practicing law. I am the chair of the Baltimore County Revenue Authority, a health care board member at GBMC, and on three committees at the hospital. My wife, Audrey, runs a family real estate business and is very active in golf at Baltimore Country Club and the WGA. We love to travel and have recently been to Italy and the Galapagos Islands. We have two additional trips scheduled this year to Greece and Alaska. Our oldest daughter, Anastasia (Stasia) Nardangeli, works at Thomas and Libowitz as a corporate and transactional attorney and loves to play tennis and pickleball. She also coaches girls’ lacrosse for the Skywalkers club team. She is married to Matthew Nardangeli, a Canadian ex-ice hockey player. They live in Baltimore County and have two children, Lyra (8) and Paul (6). Matthew works locally as the marketing director for Sheppard Electric. Our other daughter and middle child, Alexandra (Alex) Shapiro, is also an attorney. She works as the in-house General Counsel for a UK company, Omaze. She and her husband, Max, live in Marina del Rey, California. Max is an engineer and works for Major League Baseball. They have two children, Baer (5) and Zeya (1). Max and Alex love all sports and love to snow ski, which they attempt to do as often as possible. Lastly, our son, Steven (also a Gilman grad), lives with his wife, Becca, in Hingham, Massachusetts. He is an engineer for Google, and Becca just received her Ph.D. in psychology from University of Connecticut. Becca plans on working with autistic children. They have one child, Zoe, who is 1 year old. Steven loves to surf and does so as often as he is able. We try to visit with them as often as possible.
