Gretchen and I visited Monterey, California, to see Tommy ’96 and his family. His 5-year-old daughter, Maisie, with her devilish sense of humor, said, “Watch out for wolves.” “What? There are wolves?” “Yes, and they love Pop sandwiches!” We got back to Chestertown unscathed. In our 25 years (What? Is that possible?) in Chestertown, Gretchen has devoted herself to our garden, now luxuriant with flowers and shrubs. I’ve been taking guitar lessons for one and a half years. I can play lots of songs, but to be kind, none is ready for prime time!
