Walter Birge writes that life in the Concord area is quiet but stable. “Susan keeps me on the straight and narrow, and, happily, our son, Jesse, lives near by. Serving on a town committee and as a corporate for our local hospital gives me a sense of worth.” This news also seems to reflect that life for the Birges remains stable and fruitful. Nice news from the person we voted “Has done most for Gilman” in 1957.
