2021 Alumni Lacrosse Game
Updated

The day after Thanksgiving, when most of us were content to sit on the couch and digest the previous day's feast, more than 60 alumni from 1973 through 2021 dusted off their lacrosse sticks, laced up their spikes, and gathered on Brown Field at Sotir Stadium for a Gilman alumni lacrosse game.

For the white team, Sam King '20 (Harvard) dominated on attack and David Sturtz '16 (Princeton) played some tough D—and even scored twice on coast-to-coast runs—while Piper Bond '18 (Pennsylvania), Will Demuth '18 (Franklin & Marshall), Will Godine '19 (Georgetown), and Logan Paff '19 (Brown) starred between the restraining lines. For the blue team, Ryan Tucker '11 (Virgina) led the attack and Hank Bethel '18 (Bucknell) anchored a strong defensive unit in front of Noah Klein '19 (Georgetown), who was stalwart in the goal.

A multitude of generations were on display on both sides of the ball—Del Dressel '81 (Johns Hopkins), Marcus Holman '09 (North Carolina), and Austin Hudson '17 (Washington & Lee) lined up on one attack unit—and family relationships were re-established on the field—brothers Michael '78 (Virginia) and Ted Sotir '76 (Princeton) lined up on defense with their nephew, Tommy Martinson '20 (Harvard).

Good fun was had by all. And, the group continued the festivities with a post-game happy hour at The Valley Inn.
