Hounds Have Strong Showing at Penn Relays

The Hounds had a strong showing at the Penn Relays on Thursday, April 27.

Cam Brown '25 finished fourth place in the Long Jump Championship and second place among American participants with a leap of 23' 2". This is the highest individual finish at the Penn Relays in Gilman track and field history and earned him a medal. Brown is the first track athlete at Gilman to qualify for an individual event at the Penn Relays as a sophomore.

The relay team of Jamel Williams '23, Triston Hinds '23, Noah Parker '23, and Jemmel Green '25 finished third place in the High School Boys Prep School 4x400m with a time of 3:28.48.

Finally, the relay team of Ryan Coleman '24, Dejuan Lane '24, Marcus Walker '23, and Tyler Marshall '25 ran a time of 43.97 for a second-place finish in their heat (31st out of 169 teams in their group).
