Wrestling Finishes Winter Season Strong at 2023 State Championship
Gilman's varsity and JV squads left it all on the mats during the 2023 Maryland Independent Schools State Championship held February 17-18 at Harford Community College.
At the end of the two-day event, the varsity squad as a whole took fifth place out of 16 schools entered in the tournament with nine individual top-10 placers, including two weight-class champions. The JV squad also performed admirably, with four individual top-10 placers, including one weight-class champion.

The six varsity wrestlers who placed in the top six on the podium have earned spots to compete at the upcoming 87th Annual National Prep Wrestling Championships to be held February 24-25 at Showplace Arena in Upper Marlboro.
