PALS Programs Baltimore Seeking Summer 2023 Volunteers
Updated
When?
  • Sunday, June 18, to Saturday, June 24, 2023
Where?

For summer 2023, the PALS Baltimore Program will run out of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

Who Can Volunteer?

This service opportunity is open to Middle and Upper School students aged 14 or older.

About the Sponsor and Event

PALS Programs is a non-profit organization that provides inclusive camp experiences for people with Down Syndrome and their Peers on college campuses across the United States.

"PALS Programs has a 1:1 pairing model that partners individuals with Down Syndrome with a Peer who does not have Down Syndrome to experience a fun-filled, transformative week together. We are looking for 1:1 paired participants and volunteer leaders to help run our program. We think PALS could be a fun and meaningful way for students at Gilman School to earn up to 100 service hours, and we would be willing to work with any participant who might be interested in using this experience as a service project. We would also invite any individual with Down Syndrome to join us as a partner at camp! You can view the PALS magic from this past summer here."
