With a double Bachelor of Arts in international politics and economics and Spanish from Middlebury College, Kenan will teach Spanish I and III this school year. Kenan has terrific international experience, having lived abroad in Switzerland with his family before returning to the U.S. to attend Durham Academy in Durham, North Carolina. While at Middlebury, Kenan was captain of the men's varsity soccer team and played club tennis. When not in the classroom or on the athletic field, he has worked for a makerspace startup, in the admissions and marketing departments of The American School in Switzerland (TASIS), and as an education coordinator for a migrant justice organization in Vermont.
Most recently, Kenan spent three months in Warsaw, Poland, writing grants for an educational nonprofit that integrates Ukrainian refugee children into Polish schools. In his free time, Kenan enjoys playing just about any sport, attempting to cook, and keeping up with Polish on Duolingo.
