High Tech Update for D+W

Design and Woodworking instructor A.J. Howard reports a "buzz of excitement" around a new high-tech piece of equipment in the shop -- a computer numerical control (CNC) router.

Middle and Upper School students will be able to use the new CNC router to create things like signs, robotics parts, inlay pieces, electric guitars, and more out of a wide range of materials.

See how it works in this short video:

"For our students, particularly those interested in engineering, this will provide vital, real-world experience with industrial production," said Howard. "Plus, it's a lot of fun."
