Two Gilman students competed at the AAU Junior Olympics in Houston, Texas, in late July 2025.

In the 15-16 Boys' Decathlon, Luca Mulligan '27 placed eighth overall, winning the discus event, setting four personal bests, and earning an All-American title. The decathlon is a two-day competition made up of 10 track and field disciplines: 100m, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, 400m, 110m Hurdles, Discus, Pole Vault, Javelin, and the 1500m.

Rising fifth grader Joshua J. '33 earned All-American in three events with a national championship in the long jump.

• Long jump: 1st place 16-5.75
• 400m: 3rd place 57.81
• 200m: 5th place 26.33
