Matthew performs the violin to benefit Kennedy Krieg
Fifth Grader Performs Violin Concert to Benefit Kennedy Krieger Institute

Fifth grader Matthew S. and his older sister Maggie, both accomplished violinists, have been performing benefit concerts for many years. Together, they have raised around $30,000 to benefit nonprofit organizations for children, such as Johns Hopkins Children’s Center and Kennedy Krieger Institute (KKI).

“Matthew’s commitment to KKI has been his motivation to practice every day, to give his time and heart to make a difference in his community,” his parents said, “We are very proud. We want to take this opportunity to thank Gilman for helping us instill morals and values in our son!”

They will be debuting at Carnegie Hall in May of 2022, but nothing will be more exciting for them than to retake the stage together in Baltimore in June of 2022 to perform for an audience of philanthropists and peers.
