Gorman ’81 Brings Old Bay Bagel Chips to Giant Food Stores
Phil Gorman ’81 and his company, CaliBagels, are introducing OLD BAY® flavored bagel chips to hundreds of Giant Food stores.
CaliBagels, a San Diego-based bagel company, partnered with McCormick & Co. — the parent company for the OLD BAY brand — in July 2024 to launch the new product. As Gorman noted in a CaliBagels press release at the time, "Offering consumers our unique bagel chip seasoned with OLD BAY made perfect sense. Bringing the fanaticism around the iconic seafood seasoning brand to snackers around the country is incredibly exciting for our team."
The agreement with Giant will allow Gorman and CaliBagels to sell 130,000 bags of the Old Bay bagel chips in more than 350 of the chain’s grocery stores. Products will appear in stores by the end of May 2025.
