Janet ’04 and Meltzer ’04 Named Emerging Leaders

In the third year of its “Emerging Leaders” award series, The Baltimore Banner selected two members of Gilman’s Class of 2004 as recipients: Andrew Janet and Brian Meltzer. Honorees were chosen from a pool of community nominations by a committee of local leaders and celebrated at a gala at The Center Club in downtown Baltimore.

Janet is a Partner at Janet, Janet and Suggs, LLC, and co-chair of its Sexual Abuse Division. In 2024, Janet and his team were the first to successfully defend the constitutionality of the Maryland Child Victims Act in a Maryland Circuit Court. The Supreme Court of Maryland recently upheld that decision.

Meltzer is a Partner in the Corporate Practice Group of Saul Ewing, LLP. Aside from his professional bona fides, he is well known and respected for his volunteer work with Baltimore’s Community Law Center. He serves as Board Chair for the organization that provides legal services to community and nonprofit organizations, as well as neighborhood associations.
