The agreement allows BridgePoint to merge its 22 employees with Southway's 10 Raleigh-based workers. Through BridgePoint, Southway will add commercial, laboratory, healthcare, and academic-based development projects to its portfolio.

Southway Builders was founded in 1991 and is based in Locust Point. The company has a total staff of 100 and has managed the development of more than 7 million square feet of commercial projects and over 10,000 multi-family units. Southway reported revenues of $110.18 million in 2023.
