David, a nutritional platform of high protein, low calorie, blood sugar friendly foods led by president and co-founder Zach Ranen '14, recently announced a $10 million seed funding round.
Ranen and the company's CEO and co-founder Peter Rahal established David in early 2024. Ranen brings proven, relevant entrepreneurial experience to David, having successfully launched and led RAIZE, an online bakery of no-sugar-added, low-carb, gluten-free desserts. He and his team developed and scaled a product suite that was baked fresh and delivered nationwide.
The recent influx of funding was led by Rahal, Valor Siren Ventures, Peter Attia, M.D., and Andrew Huberman, Ph.D. Ranen and Rahal will leverage the investment to continue developing David's team and product line. Its first product is a "craveable" protein bar that will be sugar-free, gluten-free, and free of artificial sweeteners and flavors.
