Roanoke College, a Division III competitor in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), recently announced the hiring of Grant Zimmerman ’04 as its head men’s lacrosse coach.

Zimmerman moves to Ronoake after a successful run as the head coach at Centre College in Kentucky. He led Centre from 2019 through 2025, accumulating an impressive overall record of 69-31. His teams secured Southern Athletic Association (SAA) regular season and conference tournament titles in 2021, 2023, and 2024.

Before arriving at Centre, Zimmerman spent three seasons as defensive coordinator and goalie coach at Denison University in Ohio.

Zimmerman was a four-year starting goaltender for the University of North Carolina. As a junior, he was named a USILA All-American and selected to the Tewaarton Trophy watch list (awarded annually to the top player in college lacrosse).
