Mentoring Program and Silly Pumpkins

The Mentoring Program held its second annual pumpkin-painting event via Zoom on Saturday, October 30, with close to 20 mentors and mentees in attendance. Guest instructor Gomeka Neal taught participants how to paint scarecrow pumpkins, complete with straw hats and hair. The group talked about their Halloween costumes and upcoming activities between painting instructions. Head of Lower School Linda Fussell joined in the fun and painted her own pumpkin.

A special thanks goes to CIE parent representative Veronica Park and Office of Community, Inclusion, and Equity administrative assistant Tangie Mason for helping this event run smoothly.

Gilman’s Mentoring Program aims to shepherd Lower and Middle School boys through their Gilman journey, offering them support and fellowship along the way, by pairing boys together in mentor-mentee teams. Mentors are Upper School students.
