Upper School Fall Athletics Tryouts
Upper School football practice begins on August 7, and tryouts for other fall sports begin August 9. Please reach out to head coaches with any questions or for sport-specific details.
Summer Fitness Center Hours
As in years past, the Fitness Center is open during hours that the Athletic Center is open. Please check in at the cage. You must have a partner with you — there can never be a single person alone in the Fitness Center.
New Strength Coach
We are excited to welcome Coach Stephen Yorkman to Gilman as a strength coach! He will offer weight-training sessions from 8–9:30 a.m., Monday-Thursday (see dates below) this summer for any interested Middle or Upper School student. Note that he will also run team lifts for football on the same days following the open lift.
- Week 1: June 12-15
- Week 2: June 20-23 (Tuesday through Friday to observe Juneteenth on 6/19)
- Week 3: June 26-29
- Off Week (no workouts): July 3-7
- Week 4: July 10-13
- Week 5: July 17-20
- Week 6: July 24-27
- Off Week (no workouts): July 31-August 4
