That’s a Wrap on the Halloween Mentoring Activity

More than 50 students from all three divisions gathered together to decorate pumpkins on October 28. The activity was organized as part of the Mentoring Program, which is run by the Office of Community, Inclusion, and Equity (CIE). Guest instructor Gomeka Neal guided students in creating mummy-themed pumpkins with gauze wrapping and funny faces.

“The boys were really engaged and excited to spend time with the mentors,” said a teacher in attendance. “It was so nice to see so many attendees.” A big thank you to the CIE Office administrative assistant Tangie Mason, who did an amazing job organizing the event.

Gilman’s Mentoring Program aims to shepherd Lower and Middle School boys through their Gilman journey, offering them support and fellowship along the way, by pairing boys together in mentor-mentee teams. Mentors are Upper School students.
