Andy Yoon '25 wins first place at the International Young Artist Piano Competition

Over the summer, seventh-grader Andy Yoon won first place at the International Young Artist Piano Competition. Founded in 1986, this competition was created to nurture the arts of piano music among young artists of all nationalities between the ages of 5 and 18, while promoting the music of Chinese composers and furthering cultural exchange between peoples of the East and West

On August 5th, Andy played Chopin's Fantaisie Impromptu Op. 66 at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
